There is a shim under the Graham tonearm. I got this one from Ralph at Atmosphere. He'd replaced the old, cast aluminum Empire plinth and had some number of them machined from solid stock because the old ones could ring or whatever.

It appears to me that the Graham had to be shimmed (good eye), because it was too low for the platter. Anyway, Ralph had another one with a Tri-Planar tonearm that he preferred, so I bought his old one.
