very happy to hear of your good fortune.
When plastic grocery bags were plentiful, they were very handy to transport stacks of records.
the size fit the records well, and breaking up the lifts into smaller quantities help with the task. I would rather make extra trips compared to a series of large energy expenditures to move a great amount of records.
plus being in bags with handles , the were certainly easier to move, easier to pack in the transport than a ridged sided container, and the group tended to protect the sleeves better than if done as loose singles.
The bags also served as temporary storage until I could get everything stowed away.
I hope you experience an exceptional find, and I for one would be interested in information about a couple of good finds, if any are found, once you get an inventory. I am a sucker for happy endings.
