I have a couple of AH! players for some time now. As old as they are, at times they still impress. I use vintage Genalex tubes and they're a great match.
The laser assembly (VAM-1202) is readily available on Ebay for under $10. The only catch is the Chinese quality. The DOA and attrition rates are VERY high. Buying 10 gets me a good working unit and a spare.
