Hi, my anal comment was not specifically aimed at you, more an observation of the general tone of a number of the posts on this subject.

I think that you would find it difficult to do serious harm to a cartridge by playing a scratched record. I am not advocating playing any old knackered shit, but if you describe a record as good condition then I dont see why you should worry.

I have a relatively large collection and have been playing records for over 20 years without any damage being done to my cartridge by a record (sadly I've bust a couple while messing). Currently I am using a cartirdge which retails at over $2k and I'm noy worried. Trust this provides some comfort.
