Comparing the Clearaudio Concept and the VPI Traveler

Posted by bgunn on August 9, 2012 at 15:40:45:

Doing some research before heading out to see/hear these two tables. Anyone else made this comparison or have an opinion on these two tables?

I'm not sure what to think of the magnetic bearing in the Clearaudio tonearm, but I trust both of these companies to make fine products. The VPI gets bonus points for being made in the USA (NJ yet) and optional cool colors, but I really care about the sound, reliability, and easy setup.

Anything else I should consider around $1500.00? Not likely to buy used unless it's local (SF Bay Area).
