The power amp section of the CA-1000 and CA-1010 are, in my opinion, audiophile quality. The preamp section is just average. The power amp section in class AB isn't particularly good-sounding.

But pair the power amp section in class A with a nice preamp and you've really got something, if you can live with 20 watts per channel. And let it breathe--it will run HOT!
