It's a beautiful class A amp but it sounds kind of brittle.It's nowhere near what my SA/2 is sonically.
Then something else is wrong with it. While the ten year later SA series was clearly better, "brittle" is not a word I would ever use with a properly functioning Threshold amp.
Ever listen to one of Nelson's more recent models like say an XA200.8 or one of the XS (pun intended by him) series?
