Kenwood KR 2600--any opinions?

Posted by docw on December 10, 2007 at 17:12:33:

I have an uncle who swears by his KR 7600, but has a 9600 mega receiver with apparently problematic sound after it was repaired.

The other day, going through some stuff dismantled from my sibling's apt., I found a Kenwood KR 2600 in near mint condition, a cheap acquisition I found to replace an old Fisher SS receiver which had been used as a tuner.

Do you know much about this piece and how it works? Sound? It's in storage at my late father's home.
