Has anyone tried ...

Has anyone tried using Johns-Manville Rigid Round or Spiracoustic for making DIY tube traps? These are both circular high density compressed fiberglass products that come in 6' lengths. These products are used for air conditioning ducts. They are similar: rigid round is basically spiracoustic with a foil cover which can be peeled off. Any thoughts or ideas on this?
