If You Outlaw Threaded Rods Only Outlaws Will Have Them.

I went to the machine shop yesterday to pick up the Â¾â€ dia. threaded rods for my equipment stand. The machine shop cut and pointed the rods. Man, did they ever point them! Those rods do look lethal. When I brought the rods to the shop, I explained what I was using them for and why pointing was necessary. I explained the theory of pointing again in more detail when I picked up the rods. The machine shop guy did not seem to buy any of it. His attitude was, like; â€œyeah right, whatever you say buddyâ€. As I was leaving, he said; â€œI hope youâ€™re not getting me into something here.â€
(I wasn't wearing a camo outfit and I just had a haircut and beard trim a few days ago. I don't look ANYTHING like my "WANTED" posters.)
Now, Iâ€™m wondering if itâ€™s even legal to transport pointy threaded rods. I mean, I had them in my trunk, wrapped in a bath towel. Guess I was lucky to make it home O.K.
And who are those guys in the black Suburban that's parked across the street?
