Cd player brightness problem

Posted by Ryan on October 27, 1999 at 08:50:42:

Hi All,
I own a 16 bit based (TDA 1541, SAA7220) Rotel that been modified
1. DAC has own PS (i.e. separate transformer, rectifier, caps and regs)
2. 2604 opamps for analogue stage with own PS as above
3. 4700uF caps after each regulator
4. 100pF polypropylene in parallel with resistor (100ohm) following output from opamp

Problem is that the tops seem very bright. Any cures either at CD (like usingan inductor after the opamp instead of a resistor?) or pre/power stage. BTW I use a NAIM 62 pre with 140 power.

Any ideas?
Ciao
Ryan
