Empirical Audio Image Clarifier Accessory--Fix problem with design??

Posted by Celluloid on May 11, 2001 at 18:54:58:

Since there is a lotta extra metal there just hanging on (inches long, you say!) and potentially creating problems sonic as well as physical--why not just buy some el cheapo ferrites (heck, I once got interested in chokes and found a manufacturer with a 60 page catalog of the critters) and hang 'em on the end of your cables? After all, it would seem to do the same exact thing at a fraction of the price and with NO extra metal betwixt the tweak and your speakers.
