You lost me. The info I have says sufficient slew rate would be:
Slew rate[V/us]=[(Watts_rms*ohms*2)^0.5*2*pi*maxfrequency]/1000000.
Using your 1V/500kHz example, I get ~3.14V/us. For 100W/8ohms/500kHz, ~125.66V/us, substantially > 28V/us.
