I don't remember saying anything about diode suitability for different applications. They have to be suitable for a basic bridge diode. What I did say is that I believe in using way over rated for current and voltage devices for improved sound. And another thing, consider putting some rope caulk on your new diodes to see if you hear an improvement. The stuff is an excellent damping compound,IMO and in Herbie's opinion also, can be used on almost anything that isn't hot. Tweaker
