pinout for micro usb-b

Posted by snkby on July 3, 2021 at 14:11:01:

i have an fx-audio m6 dac/amp that has a bad micro usb-b power connector that i removed from the board.

does anyone know if all the pins are required?

i'm wondering if i can just replace the micro usb-b connector with a more solid barrel type power connector?

there seems to be only two soldered traces on the board where the micro usb-b connector was attached.

my meter shows continuity between one of the traces and ground on the rca connectors and usb-b input connector shield and capacitor negative pins so i'm thinking that trace is ground and the other trace is hot because there's no continuity with any ground right?

thoughts?

thank you
