Not questioning your comments on this as your experience eclipses mine substantially, but one of the reasons I questioned the authenticity was the rough, grainy surface of the prongs and ground pin as shown in the OP's photos. I know the plug in question was used, but that should show up as linear scratches (if anything) rather than the rough, pitted appearance. The metal surfaces on my FI-11 gold is shiny and devoid of any surface imperfections as viewed with the naked eye. Mirror like. The FI-11 copper is not shiny, but the surface of it is as smooth and glass-like as the gold. Perhaps the polish and smoothness has improved with the newer plugs?
