ERS cloth used on grounding strap of AC recepticle

I have noticed that some manufacturers of AC filtration devices use ERS cloth running the length of the ground strap of the recepticle's they use in their products. What auditory effect does this use result in? I have used ERS cloth in other places in my system, but not here. I have found that the cloth seems to be not only more effective but also better sounding when used in tandem with copper foil and grounded. Anyone have any experience with using ERS cloth on the grounding strap? Thanks all.
