Pleas Recommend Fittings For A Component Matching LCRZ Measurement Jig

Hello,

I have recently completed assembly of an old M3 LCRZ meter kit. The version with the Kelvin clips.

My intentions are to use the meter to highly match components for use in audio circuits.

M3 recommended the building of jigs to measure components, so as to maintain consistent measurement spacings and conditions for each component measured.

I have attached a picture of M3's recommended DIY jig. The jig is constructed of double sided PC board, scribed to create 5 isolated zones. In the picture, ignore the chrome covered stand offs - those are for mounting inside of a box, if desired, and are optional.

While I really like the idea of using and building a jig, I would like a better solution to the clamping problem than folding over brass stock and soldering it to the board this way. I don't feel that I would be getting very good grip tension on the component legs, and also, depending on how far I pushed the leads down into the brass clips, I would get different component lead lengths in the measurements, which will distort the results at the limits of the unit's high resolutions.

I am also concerned that over time and with use, the brass stock would lose it's grip tension, and there seems to be no way to re-tension this kind of a jig.

I don't have any real experience using Kelvin clips, so I struggle to consider what properties are important in building a Kelvin measurement jig. I figure some tweakers here can weigh in.

I am looking for a design plan for a jig that will:

-Maintain consistent test lead spacing during the measurement of similar components.

-Have durable clamps that will grip component leads with firm and repeatable grip tension.

-Maintain the shielding advantages of this design, with the grounded vertical plate.
