Having used the Neuance shelf on Mana stands with four spikes at the corners for years,

I can tell you that I have had no damage to these shelves. I have not used them recently, as I now use StillPoints Component Stands and their Rack. I store heavy components on the Neuance shelves in a four shelf high Mana like rack with my VPI record cleaner on top.
