I used 3/4" plywood, two sheets glued and screwed in a sandwich.
Drilled the three holes with a hole saw, used three pan head
screws inside the PVC pipes to secure to the plywood base, and
used 3/4" plywood supports at the top. I went to a local sporting
good store and purchased field points for archery arrows and
screwed them into tapped holes in the plywood bases. They turned out
very well and a set of three was less than $60 in materials.
They may not be as pretty as the Argent version, but I saved $1140 ;)
