free to move in any direction.
think innertube or spring suspension or magnetic suspension.
rollerballs/darumas/diyumas/etc will transmit vibration vertically but not quite so much horizontally.
if all the equipment is floating then vibration induced by anything --speakers/cdp/xformers/etc-- cant get to anything else to cause more problems.
spiked/grounded will transmit energy.
