...I figured I'd take them out as ANYthing I would put in there will be better. :-) Actually I'm fantasizing about replacing the 2nd pair of PS caps with some 'propylene cap; I just haven't had much time to research that.
If you have a specific recommendation on the High-Voltage diodes, PLS pass it on.
Thx for the clue on the 1st pair of couplers; I'd have ordered the wrong ones. After much deliberation, I decided on the Cardas Golden Ratios. Yes, extruded-aluminum chassis and the caps are mounted on two chassis rails.
What's your favorite output tube? I'm reading lots of good stuff here on the Penta solid-plate version. Have accumulated lots of 'N7s including a few Russian versions. I'll be sorting those for months!
