As you note, there aren't alot (if any) options here in the US for a hi-quality chassis. Par Metals is about as good as it gets for solid-state stuff. THL Audio has some nice ones, but shipping is kinda killer from Asia. You might also pose this query in the DIY forum on head-fi, as well as possibly DIY Audio forums.
