NEVER defeat the safety ground connection on a piece of electrical equipment.
NEVER use a cheater plug to remove a ground looop.
That wire is there to conduct electricity away from the chasis in case of a short, it can safe your life. Removing that ground can cause a house fire, risking your life and the lives of those you love.
