the B-P-T transformer is well worth the money

held my breath and purchased a BPT Signature 2.0 (15 amp) for about $2000... best single investment ever, all the parts of the system love it and all appear to perform at a higher standard, the cd player, preamp, and power amp. There's more to this that splitting the a.c. and lowering the noise floor... somehow the push/pull effect of 60+,60- vs. 120,0 has a magic that nothing else can touch. If I had to stick to less expensive, I'd go for the CPC. Having heard, lived with the BPT 2.0, and owned the Chang, the Ultimate Outlets, various other things... there isn't any comparison, it's major league ball vs. sandlot ball. Plus, Chris Hoff builds so much quality in, from the thickness of the casework, the use of non magnetic screws and bolts, the care with assembly, the range of options available you feel like you're getting a bargain, either that or you're being taken advantage of by companies that crank out flimsy stuff at high prices.
