The working principle of the roller ball is that it rolls. In the vertical it couples which is why a lot of people use them combined with air bladders to isolate in the vertical.

Yes. my point exactly. By directly coupling, you inherit the entire vibration.
I find it confusing the way you use "isolate" and "couple" as if they are the same.
They are usually used to indicate opposite kinds of relationship between objects.
As such I find it next to impossible to continue this discussion.
If you think you isolate by coupling, fine, but many of us would regret the confusing use of language.
