I like the braiding idea because it really gives one some degree of control of the end product.
But, I was talking about an actual string of teflon that they sell...see the link.
Stealing your idea, one could easily braid these strings, and not have to worry about...creepage...the strings are pretty tough, but a single strand might creep. I don't think that 3 would!!
Also, I have used these strings in lieu of tflon tubes to make some interconnects where the conductors wrap around the string at near 90 degree crosses...it worked great!!
