After the fact, you were right about sanding to fit ... wound up doing it anyway. Yes, they are phenomenal speakers! I've never known what I was missing!

Actually, I think that band clamps, with biscuits and strategically placed wedges, would give more than enough pressure. I've never found MDF needs anywhere near the clamping "grunt" that hardwoods do. Of course the 10% humidity and 80 degree temps here might help. (I doubt you've ever seen that in Louisiana!)

I agree about jigs and custom clamps, worth it for mass production, "clutter" for one project.

I'd like to see the cherry/walnut treatment myself.
