Small question.

What's the design HF cutoff on the shunting? How high have you moved it?

BTW, in the universe of coupling capacitors, 716Ps are hardly lousy in my experience. At the price point, they are quite competent where a polyprop is needed. It is one of the few of its genre I will ever consider to replace a polyester in a vintage instrument. Most others I find are electronically too "tight" for the circuit design and overly skew frequency response. Then again, I rarely advocate the use of designer passives in vintage work, so we may have a philosophical divide on the whole thing.

I'd put my "special" personal KM-60 into the ring with your Eico, but there are too few stations left to do it any justice.
