RE: Pricing my Scott 310E

Posted by fredtr on August 25, 2016 at 15:21:33:

Geez I must be a tuner dinasaur, hooked on local classical station. What I have done so far to 310e, recapped/increased power supply capacitance, bypassed relays, replaced coupling caps with Russian PIO's, replaced 12AU7 with E80CC, replaced detector diodes, aligned with Sencore. Will redo alignment with ST1000A when I get through calibrating it and then tempted to upgrade the IF caps.

Always nice to keep a stock unit, start making changed and lose perspective of how it sounded stock.
