Do agree that the two best tuners I have ever heard are the REL and the Rhode Schwarz - both at Romy's. The RS was "quieter".
This was in downtown Boston so sensitivity was not an issue. RF gain control was turned way down and selectivity was also not a problem on the few classical stations we listened to.
BTW, my "list" includes the 10B, 4310, MR78/71, Tandberg and a number of others.
As I remember, the REL had my "built-in" stereo decoder.
