I agree with you about the tubes. Call me strange, but I'm categorically opposed to pulling tubes out of a piece just to cash in. I bought an EICO St-40 that had all of the Westinghouse tubes pulled. Did the PO have the right to do it? Sure. But short of spending retail to purchase NOS original tubes, I had to make do with modern substitutes. Hence, I really don't know what my ST 40 sounds like.

If the HymnusHiFi (its model) is TU, then I'll part it out. I did some checking on line and dead examples of this piece are selling from $300 to $600.
