Thank you very much for the reply, and OH, sorry for my mistake, it should be GE but not GEC, my MC240 is wrote 6L6GC/7027A next to the tube socket, and I have check Mr. Roger Russell page and said MC240 is using 6L6GC/7027A also, should I still need to mod it ? If yes I would go back to the 6L6GC because I don't want to mod my MC240, and I think I will not use other tube out of 6L6GC/7027A because I want to keep the original sound that the MC240 designer want it to be.

BTW, what is the RCA 7027A sound like ? is it about the same as the RCA 6L6GC ? and what is the GE sound like ?
