ARC SP8??

Looking for a new pre-amp, preferably with a phono stage to replace my Acurus L10. I am contemplating auditioning an ARC SP8 rev 3. Would this be well-suited to my system? Both vinyl and CD playback are important to me. Is the SP8 the answer, or should I be looking for a newer balanced pre-amp and a seperate phono stage.
The rest of my system consists of a Sonic Frontiers Power 2, Totem Mani 2 speakers, Sony 9000ES and a Planar 3.
Your thoughts, comments and experiences would be appreciated!
