Replace 12AX7 with Mullard E180CC / 5695?

Posted by irisonray on July 16, 2020 at 12:51:57:

Hello - I'm new to this group and purchased my first Tube Amp (Yaqin MC-13S) a little over a year ago. Anyway, I'm looking for a bit more bass from my Amp and have been thinking to possibly roll my pre-amp 12AX7 tubes with the Mullard E180CC / 5965 tubes. I know of others who have done this exact replacement on this same Tube Amp and say its an improvement on the low/bass end. Has anyone else replaced their 12AX7 with the Mullard E180CC / 5965 tubes? Experience? Thoughts?

Thanks!
