And I'd have to state once again, it's not a matter of selecting between American or European makes, as each has their own set of strengths and weaknesses. It's when one learns the importance of which factories in any given county produced the best tubes as it relates to fidelity as well as resolution.
Then the task becomes as one of my mentors taught me years ago, how to combine both American | European tubes together to create a unique signature which then has the bolder presentation of USA designs, in tandem with the more delicate structured sound of many European tubes.
And I'd have to ask have you every heard any tubes from the likes of Lorenz ( Germany )?, NEC ( Japan )?, National Union or Bendix or Western Electric ( USA )?, as I'd say while Dutch tubes are decent, it's once you've exploded the unknown or very seldom mentioned that the truth comes to the light.
There are much much much better makes to be had, provided one knows said factories?.
