Sounds like we're on the same page and know how important it is to stay true to our experienced ears. Nothing else even comes close to our own ears....so good for you....hopefully others will get to this level as well. Anyway, I picked these up on ebay....you might still find these if you're interested under:
Go to Consumer Electronics
Then go to the Vintage Section
Then to Tubes
Then type in 12AX7
Then type in Shuguang
This should get you to the seller....$3.99 each.
