I'm a well versed tube jockey at home. But at my day job we had a power supply fail in a super computer last week. There are two supplies in current sharing mode, that is each 3.3volt at 675amps! Obviously switch mode power supplies. Interesting in that they take in 208v three phase and actually use a three phase primary high frequency invertor.
Wedding ring equals no finger at these currents!
