I use Phillips 6SN7GT's with Svetlana EL34's,its an awesome combo.
The GT's are a great sounding tube, I also use 6SN7WGTA on the same amp. they're more brillant on the high end. As far as clarity, and sound transparency this is an awesome combo. I'll listen from rock ,blues, country, to classical and this tube set up with that range of music
it's an awesome combo. This glass lives on a Dynaco ST70, I also use the
SN7 setup on an EICO-HF86 that I built. I changed a few things around
I used the same 6SN7's to drive the EL84's instead of the 12WD7 that
they used and that amp sounds just as good.
