Lowthers on Ebay (not an advt!)

Posted by mrh (Mark Hardy) on January 10, 2000 at 10:06:59:

Hello:

Just browsing EBAY over lunch, I stumbled on an auction for a pair of late 1950's Lowther TP1's (Item #230275826). I mention this here not as an advertisement for the auction, but mostly because the auction Web page contains a remarkable array of photos of the driver units and the enclosures as well as a most interesting scan of a contemporary brochure on the speakers. Looks like Lowther was much more mass-market oriented then than now!
I thought this was an interesting bit of trivia for Lowther fans.

all the best,
mrh

ps the auction closes today (1/10/00), though the page might be available for a while after that.
