Didn't mean to confuse you. I am in the same camp as others, that moderate power is a good thing. I'm running 15 watts, on my 100 db speakers. The added power is a plus. Even with just 100db, I have to be carefull about the tubes I pick. If there is no decent store local, check places on line that have a return policy. Have you contacted Avantgaurde? they may be able to give you a list of amps that work well with their speakers.
