Quad II / Quad 22 owners, please help !

I'm thinking to buy a 2x Quad II / Quad 22 system to
drive my ESL'57.
Could I use it with a CD player ? Which input ?
What kind of plugs do I need for the speaker cables ?
The two power amps are of disimilar number (59610 and 2947)
It is important for the sound ?
