Do el34 tubes really make a difference in sound.....

i own a VAC 35/35 Triode amp that uses el34 tubes. The ones i've got in the amp are Chinese el34l tubes fron VAC. If i change the tubes to Svets or EH will i hear a difference in sound? Skould i but some Russian tubes/ Thanks for any info...
