Parasound,

Others have provided great and helpful information, but I think that much of it may be too helpful given that you're just starting out. I don't know if you're a parent or not but when it was time to take my daughter home from the hospital I was scared to death by everything I didn't know about babies. Well, a day later I was shocked by how much of what I was afraid of had just sort of melted away and how great my innate infant care skills really were. My advice to you is this: get your baby, take her home and just love her. You can figure out how to mold her into a mature model citizen later. In the mean time hang around the asylum and learn. After all, it is sort of a parents support group.
