I recall DF commenting that if a builder tried to copy his SE 2A3 circuit and didn't execute an exact copy per schematic, layout, wiring and BOM, then it was not his design.
The same would apply to JDM.
There is only speculation regarding the inner workings of the MLP design team.
Few will ever know the reality of their circuits.
