I was not interested in your "bidirectional" question. This is common knowledge and not worth paying so much attention to.

If you want a thorough check of your OT, there are better ways to do it. A large signal is not very interesting information. The ear is not very sensitive to high sound levels, instead low level performance is much more interesting. We can also see the benefits of better core material when looking at lower levels. So no, I don't need a generator 10V - 200Vrms.

I am also curious if you could measure a transformer like this picture above with ARTA or the AP????
