You show solid state diodes across the rectifier tube. What's the point of the rectifier tube in the first place based on that?
It's not doing anything but wasting wattage lighting up the filament.
But at least this regulator circuit seems functional at first glance.
But why a zener across the VR tube? Is it a higher voltage to protect from runaway voltage of the VR tube is pulled or fails? In that case it's a great idea.
