AA site navagation question

After doing a search, I'll open a post which might be a ways down from the initial post and I keep clicking on the "In Reply to..." link until I get to that very first initial thread. There's got to be shortcut, what is it?
FWIW - I think I'm in a default display mode - meaning I have never set any thread/page disply options that AA has available. I'd like to keep things the way they are. Thanks!
