I bought the 55's about a week ago. The two five and a half-inch woofers are VERY quick. They sound like my MMG's. They go down to a solid 60 hz and are getting lower with each listen. They have surprising impact and can play pretty loud with the Wave 8's and the passive pre. Not head banging though. I can't wait to bid on the 66's with two 6.5 inch woofers and 92db eff. to get real impact!
