RE: When did you realize your speakers weren't good?

When I pulled the woofers out of the Bose 601s to see they were $4 junk. I built a Dynaudio 21W54 and D28 two way with the money I got selling the Bose. Eventually the foam rotted and children pushed in the domes. After that I went with prosound parts.

Later on I built a "poor mans" Dynaudio two way with SEAS tweeters and Vifa woofers that speced similar to the Dynaudios. They sound great too. I still play them from time to time.
